  Opening A New Page - HKTDC Hong Kong Publishing Copyright Fair – 22-24 July 2009  
     
  Hong Kong plays an important role in Asia's copyright industry and its position will strengthen with the establishment of the HKTDC Hong Kong Publishing Copyright Fair in 2009. The event will provide a platform for industry, enhancing cooperation and exchange among publishing entities in the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the rest of the world. Hong Kong's is the gateway to the rest of the Asian book market, leveraging on its strong trading network with countries in the region.

Leveraging on HKTDC Hong Kong Book Fair

The Hong Kong Publishing Copyright Fair runs concurrently with the first three days of the Hong Kong Book Fair, celebrating its 20th anniversary. Last year's Book Fair attracted 829,967 visitors, including 11 overseas missions such as the American Library Association, Malaysian Book Publishers Association and many from the Chinese mainland.

Adding Value

A number of features enhance the copyright fair experience for exhibitors.

The Rights Centre is an exclusive area where exhibitors and buyers can conduct business meetings and discussions. A display area will showcase the latest publications and copyright catalogues.

The Business Matching Service assists exhibitors in searching for and identifying suitable overseas, mainland Chinese or Hong Kong partners. Meetings can be arranged in advance of the fair.
