  HKETO Partners with Way In Network celebrating International Women's Day  
     
  The HKETO Sydney is pleased to announce its involvement with the Way In Network for their International Women's Day celebrations. The "Women in Arts Expression - 2013 International Women Day" will be held in March in Sydney at Hong Kong House.

"HKETO is delighted to support the Way In Network in their celebrations for International Women's Day. For this exhibition, we've chosen to open up Hong Kong House where we hope attendees can appreciate the paintings under the unique interior of our heritage building", said Steve Barclay, Director of Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office, Sydney.

Event Chair, Linda Tang, added that the exhibition opening will be graced by the presence of three prominent Hong Kong female figures:
  • Actress Ms Kara Wai, winner of the 1982 and 2010 “Best Actress Award” at the Hong Kong Film Awards
  • Ms Maria Chung Wai Bing, artist, Columnist, TV & radio host, Miss Hong Kong 2nd Runner-up (1979)
  • Ms Victoria Lam kin-ming, artist & Founder of Joyful (Mental Health) Foundation, HK in 2004
"The exhibition's objective is to showcase the talents of women in both Sydney & Hong Kong and will feature oil paintings, Chinese paintings, photographic works, calligraphy, musical works, portraits, porcelain, ikebana and other hand crafts," said President Annie Tang.

10.00am – 4.00pm (8 – 9 Mar, Fri & Sat)
Opening ceremony: Thur 7 March 2013 (By invitation only)
Venue: Hong Kong House, Ground Floor Function Room, 80 Druitt Street, Sydney

The Way In Network is also hosting a charitable dinner on the 8th March at Zilver Restaurant in Sydney featuring over 400 guests from the Chinese and wider Sydney community. The proceeds of the "Way In Glamorous Starry Night Dinner Gala" will be partly donated to the Royal Institute for Deaf & Blind Children in Australia & Joyful Foundation in Hong Kong.
