  EAG a new chapter in Hong Kong's sporting history

The 5th East Asian Games (EAG) in Hong Kong came to an emotional close on December 13, with an enthusiastic crowd cheering the star-studded finale at a coliseum.

The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Mr Donald Tsang, declared the Games closed. This was followed by the handing over of the EAG flag to Mr Wang Xingguo, Mayor of Tianjin, China. Tianjin will host the 6th EAG in 2013.

  HK shows commitment to promote electric vehicles

Hong Kong has pledged its strong commitment to the greater use of electric vehicles in Copenhagen.

The Secretary for the Environment, Mr Edward Yau, said Hong Kong would play its part as a member of the global C40 Electric Vehicle Network – a coalition of major cities dedicated to greener transport.

  HK to further develop maritime business

Hong Kong will provide a favourable business environment for international maritime service providers who choose Hong Kong as their home base in Asia, according to a senior official.

Secretary for Transport & Housing Eva Cheng was speaking in Shanghai on December1 at the opening ceremony of the Hong Kong Pavilion at Marintec China, an international shipping and maritime biennial trade fair.
