  HK Chief Executive speaks at APEC

Hong Kong’s Chief Executive Donald Tsang said as the global financial crisis seemed to have bottomed out, policymakers were shifting their focus from stimulating recovery to what the preferred mode of recovery and economic development should be going forward.

In his recent address to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) CEO Summit on 13 November in Singapore, the Chief Executive said there was no turning back the tide of globalisation and Hong Kong supported the principles of balanced, inclusive and sustainable growth, free trade, and free markets.

Hong Kong will continue to work towards being Asia's leading regional wine trading hub and to uncork the potential of the burgeoning Chinese market.

Financial Secretary John C Tsang recently announced a new agreement with Chinese customs authorities that will streamline the import of wine from Hong Kong.

  Moody's upgrades HK's rating outlook

The Hong Kong Government has welcomed international ratings agency Moody's decision to upgrade Hong Kong's long-term foreign-currency and local-currency rating outlook to "Positive" from "Stable", with ratings at "Aa2".
