 The year that was …
In 2012, Hong Kong celebrated its 15th anniversary as a Special Administrative Region (SAR) of the People's Republic of China. In March, Mr CY Leung was elected the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong SAR. The new ministry was sworn in on 1 July for a five–year term. In September, the election of the fifth SAR Legislative Council (LegCo) attracted a record 1.83 million voters to the polls.
All in all, a very busy year in Hong Kong and I know that I speak for all of you when I say that I look forward to all the exciting projects and events that are before us in the new year!
