  HK - Guangdong pact to boost economic growth

Hong Kong has signed a landmark agreement with neighbouring Guangdong province that will ultimately create one of the world’s most dynamic regional economies, underpinning growth in southern China’s Pearl River Delta.

Hong Kong Chief Executive Donald Tsang and Guangdong Governor Huang Huahua signed the document at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on April 7 in a ceremony attended by Chinese Vice-President Xi Jinping and other state leaders.

  Building Business Bridges to Asia

Trade ties with Victoria were highlighted with the staging of the recent “Building Business Bridges to Asia Dinner 2010,” attended by Premier John Brumby and his Cabinet ministers.

The event on March 10 was hosted by State MP Hong Lim, the Member for Clayton and Special Advisor to Victoria’s Premier on Victoria-Asia Business Relations.

  Shanghai Expo 2010 --- HK Pavilion to get "Green" roof

A "Green" collaboration between Hong Kong and Shanghai will deliver a vibrant and verdant rooftop display for the Hong Kong Pavilion at the Shanghai Expo 2010 from May to October.

The pavilion rooftop's theme, Connect to Nature, will highlight Hong Kong's closeness to nature and that country parks and green belt areas make up 70% of the Special Administrative Region’s total land mass.
