HK Companies Registry launches company search mobile service |

 The Hong Kong public can now acquire company information anytime and anywhere by using smartphones or mobile devices through the new company search mobile service launched by the Companies Registry in June 11. (www.mobile-cr.gov.hk)
By simply tapping on smartphones or mobile devices, members of the public can carry out free searches on company names, their basic information and lists of documents filed by companies. If they wish to get more detailed information, they can purchase a company particulars report for online viewing by credit card payment.
The new company search mobile service will provide yet another convenient means for the public to search company information. This innovative step is to enhance its electronic search service and to promote a business-friendly environment in Hong Kong.
The new service will facilitate the doing of business in Hong Kong, in particular for SMEs.
Apart from the new mobile service, electronic services for submission of statutory returns on changes of registered office addresses, changes of directors or company secretaries and their particulars and changes of share capital have also been launched in recent times. These all constitute the Companies Registry's continuous efforts to upgrade the services offered at the e-Registry
(www.eregistry.gov.hk).
