Young Guns Launch a New Direction for HKABA-NSW

 The Hong Kong-Australia Business Association (HKABA) NSW Chapter launched the Young Professionals Alliance (YPA) on 16 November 2010 in Sydney, Australia. The YPA has been set up to educate, promote and inform young business leaders and students about the business and career opportunities in Sydney, Hong Kong and Greater China.
Principal Advisor and Founding Member of HKABA- NSW Chapter YPA Mr. Peter Bosevski says "Hong Kong is a dynamic, vibrant and energetic city with a plethora of business and career opportunities that links in with the lifestyle and objectives of young business people in Sydney and NSW. It is this drive and passion of both young business people and Hong Kong that makes it a natural fit for the formation of the YPA. The HKABA- NSW Chapter YPA is one of the few dedicated business networking groups in Sydney focusing on topics about Hong Kong/China and young professionals"
 Meanwhile Chairman of the HKABA- NSW Chapter YPA, Mr Mark Shum states "The goal of the YPA is to provide a business and networking platform for Young Professional members from different industries while learning about opportunities in Sydney, Hong Kong and China. Tonight's event is our first event which is named Achieving success and navigating your career beyond the global financial crisis, it is a timely event for many young professionals, as things start to improve in the world economy, and where better to look, than Sydney, Hong Kong/China for future opportunities. We look forward to speaking with members and potential members who wish to know more about our initiative and contribute to our direction into the future."
The Inaugural Event featured three prominent speakers who shared their experience working in the finance industry, and gave an overview of the market outlook following the Global Financial Crisis. Insights were also shared into helping achieve professional success. The Speakers included Mr David Bassanese, Economic and Financial Markets commentator from the Australian Financial Review (AFR), Mr Raymon Chan, Head of Asian Desk RBS Morgans, and Mr Jonathan Wu, Head of Distributions, Premium China Funds Management.
Mr. Peter Sinn, the President of Hong Kong - Australia Business Association NSW Chapter mentions "we have been very supportive of this idea by assisting in the initial planning process and we see a lot of potential to widen the scope of the HK message to a new generation of up and coming young business professional's. This new initiative ties in with some of our future plans for the NSW Chapter and we look forward to continuously supporting our members with new events and programs like the YPA"
