  Foreword

Director, Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), Australia / New ZealandThe Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) was established in 1966 to promote, assist and develop Hong Kong's trade. With a global network of over 50 offices, including 13 in Mainland China, the HKTDC promotes Hong Kong as a two-way global investment and business hub.

The HKTDC organises international exhibitions, conferences and business missions to create business opportunities for companies, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), in the mainland and international markets. The HKTDC also provides up-to-date market insights and product information via trade publications, research reports and digital news channels. The Sydney Office covers both Australia and New Zealand and can assist the SMEs from this region to seek business opportunities via sourcing, selling or partnering up with HK based firms.

The recently ratified Australia-Hong Kong Free Trade Agreement launches a new chapter in economic relations between Australia and Hong Kong. The trade agreement provides Australian businesses greater certainty to trade and investment activities in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Connect is one of many sources to keep yourself updated on what type of activities we are hosting around Australia, New Zealand and in Hong Kong. Complementing this is our HKTDC Trade Portal, www.hktdc.com with all the latest information on Hong Kong Industries, Trade Shows and Business Opportunities.

If you are sourcing or selling with Hong Kong, we are confident that HKTDC can assist your business development in some way or another.
