  “Life in 2050 by Hong Kong artist Elaine Chiu” at Vivid Sydney at Chatswood
Hong Kong watercolour artist Elaine Chiu will delve into a spiritual exploration of future cities at “Life in 2050”, a live huge art exhibit presented by Vivid Sydney at Chatswood. Visitors will get the chance to see Elaine create from scratch, giant scenes of mystifying cityscapes, capturing the heartbeat and hustle and bustle of cities. Every brush stroke will reveal personal sentiments as she bares her soul over two weekends at Chatswood’s Lightscape. “Life in 2050 by Hong Kong artist Elaine Chiu” is supported by the HKETO Sydney. Her live exhibit will be projected between Anderson Street and Victoria Avenue over the weekends of the 7th to 9th of June, and 14th to 16th of June from 7-10 pm. The creation will also be broadcasted live through projections onto the back of the Concourse Sails for public enjoyment. Find out more here.
 
     
  Hong Kong City Contemporary Dance Company’s Brisbane and Darwin tour
The Hong Kong City Contemporary Dance Company will present productions titled “4Seasons” in June in Brisbane and Darwin with the Expressions Dance Company of Australia. It is a two-year choreography project across Hong Kong and Australia.  The show will premiere in Hong Kong in June and will be staged in Brisbane’s Queensland Performing Arts Centre Playhouse from 14 to 16 June and 20 to 22 June and in Darwin Entertainment Centre in Darwin from 29 to 30 June.   Belt and Road Summit 2018 (in Hong Kong)
The Belt and Road Summit will be held on 28 June at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the Summit will bring together senior government officials, representatives of international institutions, business leaders and industry experts from countries along and beyond the Belt and Road to exchange views on multilateral co-operation and explore new business opportunities arising from the Belt and Road Initiative. The main plenary and the concurrent thematic breakout sessions will gather some of the most brilliant minds around the world to share their insights and discuss the topic issues, policies, real cases and practical tips in doing business along the Belt and Road.   Hong Kong Dragon Boat Carnival (in Hong Kong)
Building on the colourful Tuen Ng Festival, the annual Hong Kong Dragon Boat Carnival has enjoyed a lot of attention from visitors and locals. The key elements of the 2018 events to be held from 22 to 24 June include the exciting Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races during which the world’s top dragon boat athletes will battle it out at the Victoria Harbour. There will also be a fancy dress competition in which local and overseas teams will compete for the “Best Costume Award”. Other interactive activities include games and face painting.
