The eighth HKTDC Hong Kong International Medical Devices and Supplies Fair concluded its three-day run today. Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and co-organised by the Hong Kong Medical and Healthcare Device Industries Association (HKMHDIA), the fair welcomed more than 10,700 buyers from 62 countries and regions, up 7 per cent over the previous year.
“With the ageing population and advancement in medical technologies, there is immense growth potential in the medical supplies and products market,” said HKTDC Deputy Executive Director Benjamin Chau. “The Medical Fair showcased a wide selection of medical devices and supplies, attracting industry players from around the world. This year, buyer attendance from mature markets such as Japan, Korea, Switzerland and the UK, together with emerging markets, including the Chinese mainland, India, the Philippines, Thailand and Russia, recorded satisfactory growth, indicating there is flourishing demand for medical products and services across many markets.”

Belt & Road Summit |

The Belt and Road Summit brings together senior government officials, representatives of international institutions, business leaders and industry experts from countries along and beyond the Belt and Road to exchange views on multilateral co-operation and explore new business opportunities arising from the Belt and Road Initiative. The Summit will play host to over 3000 government officials and business leaders as well as over 40 prominent international speakers.
The Summit will also feature investment and business matching along with an exhibition and an official side trip to Shenzhen.

Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the 29th Food Expo, the tenth Hong Kong International Tea Fair, the fifth Home Delights Expo and the third Beauty & Wellness Expo, together with the International Conference of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine & Health Products, which is jointly organised with the Modernized Chinese Medicine International Association Ltd, will feature over 2,000 exhibitors and draw almost 500,000 visitors. |

“The HKTDC has been striving to promote global trade,” said HKTDC Deputy Executive Director Benjamin Chau in 2017. “The four summer fairs provide one-stop shopping and sourcing experience for consumers and trade buyers, as well as an ideal promotion platform for exhibitors. The atmosphere at the concurrent fairs was very vibrant this year. Open to industry players from 17-19 August, the Trade Hall at the Food Expo attracted close to 21,000 buyers, up one per cent compared to last year. We are pleased that many exhibitors have reported satisfactory results at the fairs.” |
