  Exploring masterworks of Louvre Museum in Hong Kong
The Inventing le Louvre: From Palace to Museum over 800 Years exhibition, as part of the celebration events for the 20th anniversary of the establishment of HKSAR, will showcase a large collection of brilliant masterworks and art pieces from the world-renowned Louvre Museum. Bringing audience to travel on a 800-year journey interweaving art and history, the exhibition will illustrate the diversity and richness of the museum’s collection and display paintings, sculptures, ceramics, tapestries, etc. It will run from 26 April to 24 July.   City Dress Up: Blossoming Stairs
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR and the 55th anniversary of the Hong Kong Museum of Art, an outdoor art project “City Dress Up: Blossoming Stairs” is presented to decorate the external stairways in various districts with motifs of four-seasons flowers sourced from the Museum of Art’s collection from March to December. The selection spans a great variety of works, including traditional Chinese paintings; historical pictures from the 19th century; contemporary art pieces; antiquities covering textiles; lacquer ware and bamboo carvings. Twenty external stairways located at 14 recreational and cultural venues in Hong Kong are decorated and will be changed each season from now to December, allowing visitors to view a total of 80 different designs across the four seasons.   West Kowloon Cultural District Authority launches exchange programme for dance artists in Hong Kong and Australia
The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, in collaboration with Dancehouse Melbourne, has launched the second residency exchange programme “Creative Meeting Point” for six residency exchanges between dance artists in Hong Kong and Australia from 2017 to 2019. A total of four artists, two from Hong Kong and two from Australia, have been selected. They will take turns to visit Hong Kong and Melbourne for attending major arts festivals and events.   2017 Mega Ice Hockey 5’s
Mega Ice Hockey 5’s is one of the most premier ice hockey events in Asia. This year, it marks the 10th anniversary of the tournament and will be welcoming 80 teams from around the world with nearly 1600 elite athletes to join the competition. Adult division will be held in Hong Kong from 1 to 6 May and young division will be held from 24 to 29 April. Read more here.
 
     
  Dragon Boat Races with Hong Kong skyline as backdrop
International Dragon Boat Carnival comes again! Welcome to follow the lead of people in Hong Kong to make a party out of an ancient Chinese festival under the modern skyline of Victoria Harbour. Enjoy boats, beers and the cheers of hundreds of thousands of spectators at the Central Harbourfront, with Hong Kong’s iconic skyline as the backdrop. Thousands of the world’s top dragon boat athletes will battle it out at the three days’ races to be held between 2 and 4 June.
