  Hong Kong Sports Month
Hong Kong will be celebrating sports fever from the third week of September to mid of October. The sports month was kicked off by Sun Hung Kai Properties Hong Kong Cyclothon on 25 September followed by other world-class sports events until 16 October. These include the first-ever Formula E championship in Hong Kong, Battle of Victors (Boxing), Hong Kong Tennis Open, Cross Harbour Race, and 2016 Hong Kong ASTC Triathlon Asian Cup.   Fine Art Asia 2016
Fine Art Asia 2016, Asia’s leading international fine art fair will return to Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 2 to 5 October. In 2015, Fine Art Asia displayed more than 6,500 outstanding works of art and attracted 25,800 visitors from all over the world. The year’s fair will host some of the world’s most renowned galleries, and will showcase Asian and Western antiques, Old Master paintings, Impressionist and modern art, jewellery and timepieces, Chinese ink paintings, contemporary art, and design and decorative art.   New Vision Arts Festival
The biennial New Vision Arts Festival, celebrating its eighth edition this year, will feature an array of pioneering shows by local and overseas performing groups. The festival will run from 21 October to 20 November. Apart from staging performances, the festival will also offer an inspiring range of extension activities including an outdoor concert, masterclasses, a workshop, pre-performance talks, exhibitions, a lecture demonstration, talks and meet-the-artist sessions.   Hong Kong Science Museum's new permanent exhibition gallery opens to showcase biodiversity
A new permanent exhibition gallery “The Biodiversity Gallery” at the Hong Kong Science Museum opened on 2 September to correspond with the United Nations General Assembly's declaration of 2011-20 as the United Nations Decade on Biodiversity. The gallery recreates diverse natural environments and habitats from around the planet, allowing visitors to enjoy an immersive experience. Read more here.
