  LIMA Australia Licensing Breakfast 2015

The LIMA Licensing Breakfast was on Friday the 6th March at 7.00am in the Clarendon Meeting Rooms on Level 5 of the Melbourne Exhibition Centre with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council as the event sponsor.

The opening remarks were delivered by Jeffrey Whalen Warner Bros. Consumer Products SVP & GM Latin America & Asia Pacific. This was followed by a panel discussion consisting of Mark Scott from Mattel, Andre Reich of K-Mart and Brendan Santamaria of Designworks Clothing. Tom Punch from Haven managed the question and answer time with the audience.

The morning was filled with insights from the licensing industry as well as the latest updates from the Hong Kong International Licensing Show.

The global licensing business finds itself in an interesting position. There are now thousands of brands to choose from combined with a demanding retail environment. Although the numbers do not include all markets global retail sales are around $115 billion dollars with royalties generated at around $5.5 billion.
