Hong Kong continues to be one of the most popular destinations for New Colombo Plan scholars. Among the 69 Australian undergraduates who received the prestigious scholarship to study in the Indo-Pacific region next year, 10 have chosen Hong Kong as their study destination.   Hong Kong Financial Secretary Mr John C Tsang visits Australia
As part of the delegation of the People's Republic of China, Hong Kong Financial Secretary Mr John C Tsang joined the Group of Twenty (G20) Leaders’ Summit held in Brisbane in November 2014 before visiting Sydney to promote the economic and trade ties between Hong Kong and Australia.   Hong Kong first to ratify major new world trade agreement
The World Trade Organization (WTO) announced on 10 December 2014 that Hong Kong is the first of the 160 WTO members to join the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA). Read more about the news.

 
     
  New agreement signed under the framework of CEPA to achieve basic liberalisation of trade in services between Guangdong and Hong Kong
A new agreement was signed on 18 December 2014 between the Hong Kong Government and China’s Ministry of Commerce under the framework of the Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA) with the aim of achieving basic liberalisation of trade in services between Guangdong province and Hong Kong.   Public consultation on the method for selecting the Chief Executive

  Hong Kong’s new waterfront icon
Hong Kong’s own giant ferris wheel has finally arrived! Overlooking the iconic Victoria Harbour in Central, the new 60-metre city icon has 42 carriages, each holding eight people.
