  International IT Fest 2014 to attract international ICT experts to Hong Kong this April  
     
  Hong Kong welcomes IT Fest 2014Practitioners of information and technology industry in Australia and New Zealand are invited to join the International IT Fest 2014 which will be held in Hong Kong between 7 and 20 April 2014.

The annual event, which aims to bring together international experts to share knowledge and exchange insights in various information communications technology (ICT) domains, is organised by the Hong Kong Government in conjunction with its technology partners and the local ICT industry.

It brings a range of exciting ICT events surrounding cloud computing, start-ups, cyber security, mobility, digital entertainment, e-Learning and digital inclusion. It is also an ideal opportunity for Australian and New Zealand companies to showcase their products to the Hong Kong, Mainland China and wider Asian market.

The event last year attracted more than 46,000 participants from all around the world. “With Hong Kong’s strategic location, sound legal system, free market and pool of innovative ICT talent, Hong Kong is the ICT hub of the Asia Pacific region, “said Steve Barclay, Director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO), Sydney.

“Being a vibrant digital city with a household broadband penetration rate of over 83 percent and mobile penetration rate of over 236 percent, Hong Kong hosts many large scale IT events year round.”

“The International IT Fest 2014 is unique in that it offers a couple of IT tours for overseas participants. In addition to sightseeing, the tours will also include special ICT facilities in Hong Kong which are not open to the public, such as the Air Traffic Control Complex of the Hong Kong International Airport.”
